Description

I worked with the UX team as a senior designer to design, build and roll out a comprehensive design system & component library.

Context

CME Group is growing, it is responsible for over a quadrillion in trading each year and it's recognised globally as the worlds largest FX marketplace. After acquiring competitors in the FX trading space it was paramount to maintain brand alignment.

With 20+ products and each with different colours, components and themes, the challenge was creating a ‘common ui’ that could be rolled out to all the platforms maintaining the CME branding, look and feel.

A trading platform is a really complex entity, so it naturally it time to scope out a plan, identify key stakeholders, user journeys, key components & prioritise what platform we would tackle first.

Andy is a pleasure to work with. He was part of my team for just over a year and during that time became a highly valued colleague.

His calm and relaxed demeanour was a lovely addition to our team - but his commitment and sense of accountability for his work was clear throughout. He took a thoughtful approach to the multiple complex projects he picked up during his time at CME Group - and in particular shone during his work on our pattern library.

He built solid working relationships by delivering in a dependable, timely manner - and to a very high standard. I would be delighted to work with Andy again, and would jump at the chance to do so.
