Redesigning an admin platform & rolling out a new mobile app for employees

Context

QCS, an ambitious contract cleaning company in Northern Ireland with 250+ employee's had a big problem:


  • Employee's were checking in to work when they weren't actually in work

  • Staff turnover was high

  • Employee satisfaction was low

  • The current admin platform that organised shifts was buggy and hard to use

  • Customer's were getting buggy reports of their cleaning

Summary

Design Lead

Worked exclusively with the CEO and CTO to ideate, plan, design, build & execute an extensive redesign and roll out a new mobile app.

Game Mechanics

  • Delivering design systems that x10 dev speed and serviced 100’s of customers

  • Redesigned a sluggish admin platform into a data driven powerhouse (50+ screens)

  • Introduced key UX feedback loops that enabled automation and reduced management time

Mobile App

I Introduced a mobile app that serviced 250+ employee’s and increased employee accuracy and engagement, rewards for employee's checking in on time, showing area managers hands on data of employee performance. An in-app messenger to get in touch with employee's. Onboarding to train new employee's.
